What is Therma-Frax?

Therma-Frax is a combination of Thermage® non surgical skin tightening and Fraxel® Laser skin resurfacing.

How does Therma-Frax work?

Fraxel® improves wrinkles, discoloration, spots, scars, sun damage, irregular surface while Thermage® tightens skin. Therma-Frax is a single Thermage® treatment, followed by several (usually three) Fraxel® Laser Treatments.

What are the benefits of Therma-Frax?

Therma-Frax addresses two of the most significant aging changes by tightening the entire skin envelope while improving the quality of the skin

What are the risks of Therma-Frax?

The risks are the same as for each treatment alone. There are no increased risks involved by doing both treatments together.

What kind of results can I expect with Therma-Frax?

Improvement of mild to moderate wrinkles, surface irregularities, pigment problems, acne scarring, large pores, and stretch marks with overall tightening and reduced sagging.

What areas are treated?

Face, neck, eyelids and body may be treated.

Are your patients satified with Therma-Frax?

Yes, our patients have been very satisfied with treatment with Therma-Frax in our Texas clinic. In general our patients see significant but natural looking improvement with little or no downtime.

When will I see results?

Improvement is noted by the end of the 4 month treatment period but continues for up to 6 months after treatment is completed.

How many treatments will I need?

Usually 1 Thermage® treatment then 3 Fraxel® treatments. For certain patients up to 5 Fraxel® treatments are performed.
