Reduce Fat, Sculpt Your Body

Some stubborn fat bulges are immune to diet and exercise, and realistically most of us have fat in areas we wish we didn't, like muffin top, love handles, tummy bulge, and back fat. You don't feel as confident in your own skin as you should. Or could. CoolSculpting is a revolutionary non-surgical contouring treatment that freezes stubborn fat, which then is naturally eliminated from your body. No needles, no exercise, no special diets, no supplements, no surgery. And most importantly, no downtime. It's safe, FDA-cleared, effective, and does exactly what it's supposed to do—9 out of 10 people had an undeniable reduction of fat after just one treatment.

CoolSculpting Fat Reduction

CoolSculpting is an effective non-invasive procedure that helps people who have pockets of fat that bother them. It is designed to kill only the fat cells without injury to the skin or other tissue. The treatment selectively targets subcutaneous fat cells with precisely controlled cooling to remove fat by causing cell death and elimination. The dead fat cells are naturally cleared through the lymphatic system. Then the body processes the removed fat in the same way it does dietary fat.

The treatment provides significant, durable, and reliable results while avoiding the potential risks and downtime associated with traditional liposuction or laser lipo. This non-surgical approach is good for patients who want specific areas of fat reduction, and those who don't want more invasive liposuction for fat removal.

About CoolSculpting Fat Reduction

CoolSculpting Treatment— the area to be treated is selected. The device draws the fat bulge up between two cooling panels. Treatment of a single area usually lasts one hour. You will be seated in our reclining chair during the procedure. Many people spend this time reading, watching our TV, using their iPad, or talking on the phone.

Areas That May Be Treated— CoolSculpting helps you lose belly fat, muffin top fat, love handles and back fat. Fat on upper arms and thighs can also be treated in certain patients.

Number of Treatments— a single treatment provides noticeable fat reduction in most patients. Some may want additional fat reducing treatment to the area for more pronounced effects, such as a flatter stomach. After 2- 4 months an additional treatment may be given if additional fat reduction is desired.

Discomfort—during the first 5-10 minutes a sensation of chilling, compression and pulling on the target bulge is felt which may be uncomfortable, but tolerable. The sensation is a firm tug and pull to ensure the tissue will be cooled most efficiently and soon dissipates.

Time to See Results— the body continues flushing out fat cells for up to four months. Initial improvement may start by 2 months after treatment, but you usually will experience the most dramatic results over the last 2 months of the 4 month period.

Degree of Improvement— it is not an overall weight-reduction program for overweight patients. Ideal candidates should be near their ideal body weight with a healthy lifestyle and seeking treatment in a specific area, such as reducing stomach fat. Scientific testing has found an average reduction of 22-25% after one treatment. If additional fat removal is desired, another CoolSculpting treatment can be done after two to four months. Final losses may be more or less for each individual.

Duration of Results—as adults we do not grow more fat cells, instead fat cells get larger with weight gain. After the procedure, the treated fat cells are eliminated from the body. As long as you maintain your weight, long-term results remain stable.

Choosing CoolSculpting Treatment Tip Size—treatment tips are either large or small. Large treatment tips treat 2 ½ times the volume as a small treatment tip. Tips must fit over the entire fat bulge. We will decide the appropriate tip size for you at your consultation.

Recovery Time/Side Effects—the CoolSculpting procedure is completely non-invasive, so you can return to normal activities immediately. There is no drainage, no bleeding and no compression garment required.

Temporary tingling or numbness— you may feel a temporarily dulling of sensation in the treated area for up to 8 weeks.

Mild redness—in the treated area lasting for a few minutes to a few hours is common. Some patients have more severe or persistent redness lasts a few days.

Temporary bruising—the treated area may bruise, which may last a few weeks.

Tenderness, cramping and or soreness— an occasional patient will feel a new and more intense discomfort beginning about a week after the procedure and lasting up to a week. This discomfort usually responds well to a specific medication. If you have a noticeable increase in discomfort, or a new type of discomfort, call the office and we will prescribe a medication to control it until it resolves spontaneously in an average of a week.
