Aloe Vera

Aloe Barbadensis Leaf

Traditionally used in ancient times to cure burns and wounds originally in its native North Africa and Arabian Peninsula. Use spread worldwide through trade.

Scientific studies show active components are aloesin, aloin, aloe emodin, aletinic acid, choline and choline salicylate, and minerals. Research on the mucilage and juice has shown anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antifungal, and pigment reducing effects. Studies have also confirmed improved wound healing and a humectant effect helping skin maintain moisture.

Used as the basis for all Dr. Elaine's skin care products, with the exception of our powders. We use cold processed aloe vera fillet containing the mucilage and juice instead of the commonly used powdered or heat processed aloe vera which does not have the properties of the mucilage.

Silk Amino Acids

Silk is a natural protein fiber obtained from cocoons made by the larvae of the mulberry silkworm Bombyx Mori.

Traditionally silk fabric was developed in ancient China by 3000 BC. In addition to use as a fabric, silk powder was used in China to treat discoloration, and to improve dry and irritated skin and to treat burns.
